Doctoral students from the three universities that make up this program, University of Salamanca (USAL), University of Santiago de Compostela and University of Valladolid (UVa) will meet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The purpose of this event is to promote contacts among these three universities, as well as these researchers. In turn, thanks to these conferences, it will be possible to attend the various presentations that will reveal the lines of research of the different aspiring doctors and the plenary presentations that bring together a rich cast of renowned guest professors from different universities, such as Juan Antonio Gonz\u00e1lez Iglesias (USAL), C\u00e1ndida Ferrero Hern\u00e1ndez (UAB), \u00d3scar Prieto Dom\u00ednguez (USAL), Miguel \u00c1ngel Andr\u00e9s Toledo (USAL) or Paloma Guijarro Ruano (UCM).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Within this event, Manuel Mayo will present a paper entitled <i>\u201cDogs from beyond: guardians, psychopomps and liminal beings. A shamanic approach to dogs in the Indo-European tradition\u201d<\/i> in which he will reflect on the sacred conception of canines in the Indo-European religion, through the analysis of textual and iconographic testimonies from various traditions such as the Indian, the Greek, the Celtic, the Germanic or the Avestan. Also dealing with Indoeuropean languages, Benjam\u00edn Vidal will present a paper on <i>\u00abThe words for &#8216;water&#8217; in the Tocharian languages\u00bb<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In addition, Julia Hombre will present a communication entitled \u00ab<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>I think I see two suns and a double Thebes<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">. The innovations of the Pentheid in the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Dionysiaca<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> of Nonnus of Pan\u00f3polis\u201d; Pablo Torres Paris will read a paper on \u201c\u03bb\u03c9\u03c4\u03af\u03bd\u03bf\u03b9\u03c2 \u03b4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c3\u03cc\u03b5\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03c2 \u1f44\u03c7\u03b8\u03bf\u03b9\u03c2.
